Associate of Arts in General Studies with Specialization in Career and Technical Education


General Education Courses 

To pursue the Associate of Arts degree, students will first complete the Career-Technical Licensure courses.  In addition, the following General Education and Additional Courses will be completed at Ohio State University at Lima. 

At least 15 of the 90-100 credit hours must be completed on a regional campus. 

Writing and Related Skills
(5 credit hours)
English Composition (ENG 110.01)
Quantitative and Logical Skills
(0-10 credit hours)
Score of “R” on Math
Placement Test, or completion of Math coursework through Math 075
Remedial math courses do not count toward degree requirements.
Natural Sciences
(15 credit hours)
Complete a Biological Science sequence or a Physical Science sequence and one additional course.
Arts and Humanities
(15 credit hours)
Three approved College of Education GEC Arts and Humanities courses
Social Sciences
(15 credit hours)
Three Social Science courses
Economics 200, 201 and Psychology 100 recommended to fulfill this requirement
