The Northwest Ohio Regional Science Olympiad for middle school and high school students will be held at OSU Lima on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Top scoring teams from regional competitions are invited to compete at the Ohio Science Olympiad at Ohio State University on April 18, 2009. Top ranked teams from state competitions will compete in the 25th annual National Science Olympiad Tournament at Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia, on May 15-16, 2009.
Registrations for this regional tournament are accepted at Ohio State's main campus. Click here to register on-line or to download a registration form. A fee of $173 per team is due before November 14, 2008. Registration and a $188 per team fee will be accepted if registration and purchase order are postmarked between November 14 and December 30, 2008.
Registered teams will receive a letter from this campus toward the end of December. There is a mandatory meeting at OSU Lima on Saturday, January 24, 2009, for coaches who have never before attended a Regional Olympiad here. Coaches who have attended a Regional Olympiad here are required to assist by chairing an event.
