THE
MANY HATS
OF AGRICULTURE MYSTERY THEATER 4th grade |
Through hands-on art and creative
dramatics, this two-hour classroom activity provides 4th graders with an
introduction to Ohio’s big business of agriculture. Children (and their
families) are introduced to over 30 careers related to agribusiness, and
agricultural products. This program was developed with an eye toward
creating an engaging opportunity for children to begin to understand the
importance of agribusiness in Ohio, and at the same time reinforce
concepts found on the 4th grade proficiency tests.

• A great, interactive program. It is
well organized and it involves all the students.
• Excellent proficiency introduction to (or review) of the Factors of
Production.
• This activity is aligned to 4th grade curriculum standards for Language
Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
• Each student makes their own colorful “career badge and product hat”
related to an Ohio product.
• Every student has a costume complete with props, and participates in a
four-act play.
• Teachers receive pre/post curricular activities.
• A booklet with an explanation of the careers and follow up activities is
