Starlab Portable Planetarium
Many exciting programs all aligned to Ohio curriculum!!!
Brilliant, precise images are displayed in the planetarium dome as
we take you on a tour of the universe. Activities include the star
fields, the solar system, Lewis’ and Clark’s expedition, mythology
and more.
All programs are
aligned to k-12 Benchmarks and indicators in reading language arts,
social studies, science and mathematics. Create a new learning
experience and meet state standards while your students visit the
stars!! Space
requirements are a 10 1/2 foot ceiling by 16 foot diameter.

Northwest
Ohio Regional Science Olympiad
Since 2000, Ohio State Lima hosts the Northwest Ohio Regional
Science Olympiad for middle school and high school students on the
first Saturday in March. Students compete in a variety of academic
events, vying for individual medals and team trophies. For more

Grade The Many Puppets of Agriculture
A fun, interactive, hands-on career education program in your
classroom. Students learn about Ohio’s agricultural products and
careers while creating sock puppets for a four-act puppet show.

Grade The Many Hats of Agriculture Mystery Theater
Through creative dramatics and art, this in-classroom activity teaches
students about Ohio’s agribusinesses and 30 related careers.
Students present a four- act play complete with costumes and props.

Grade The Many Hats of Agriculture Mystery Theater
This in-classroom program is an excellent proficiency introduction or
review of the four factors of production. Using creative dramatics
and art, students learn about Ohio’s agribusinesses and 30 related
careers as they prepare to and then present a four-act play complete
with costumes and props.

An Environmental Education decision-making program in your classroom.
Students become scientists for the day and work in committees to
research, discuss, and decide on the best location to build a new
school. |

Grade Inquiry, Scientists and the Environment (ISE)
An Environmental Education in-classroom activity. Five “Disaster
Control Teams” are formed to solve a hypothetical dilemma: What do
we do after a tornado? All students become scientists and learn to
use data to make informed decisions.

Physics
with Kids
The Cosmic Dance – Solar System Motion illustrates the motions of various solar system constituents and demonstrate the physics principles that govern this motion.
Star Seeds to Black Holes – Recycling of Stellar Matter presents the various stages of stellar evolution (life cycle of stars) and demonstrate the physics principles that govern each of these stages.
Forces & Momentum – Was Newton or Galileo Right? presents two views of motion: velocity-acceleration-forces versus momentum and momentum conservation.
