Biochem 511 Introduction to Biological
Chemistry U G 5 - An introductory course in biochemistry dealing
with the molecular basis of structure and metabolism of plants,
animals, and microorganisms. Prereq: Chem 123 and 242 or 252, and 2
qtrs of biological sciences. The organic chemistry requirement may
also be satisfied by Chem 231 with a grade of at least C. This

Basic principles of biology; topics include nature of science,
