Your first task is to go to the
Simply iMovie Web Materials Page -
http://lima.osu.edu/academics/education/ed_simplyiMovie2.html
Spend one hour or so looking at the resources and
links. This will get you acquainted to the resources
available.
Now it is time to contact
Sue to discuss the project you are thinking about
working on. Approval and some directions will be
needed to begin. After our discussion you will begin
your video.
Your second task is to create a
log or journal of the hours you spend working on
this course. I do not need to have a long
description.
- ie: Taking photos or gathering video to use
in movie -
4/2/2009 - 2 hours
- Importing video and editing- 4/16/09 - 1.5 hours
Third Task - Lets begin your
assignments for this course. I will be working with
you as close as you feel you need me to be. iMovie
08 and 09 tutorials will assist you if you are using
the newer version of iMovie. If you need additional
help beyond my podcast for iMovie HD I will be happy
to assist you. I am including a short list of steps.
- Collect photos or gathering video to use in
movie (if you need to scann images to put
into your video) Categorize the images and video
into a theme or groups for interest.
- Importing video
and still images into
iMovie
- Place the images and video in the correct
order
- Edit video (if you need to cut or shorten
any video, it should be done now) Don't forget
to add a Title page and Credit page for this
video.
- Add the titles and any other text
- Add the transitions (do not over do this)
Watch your timing on your images so that you do
not loose time on the image file.
- Select and import the music (I recommend
putting the music into iTune for the best
quality)
- Edit the sound and work out the volume and
timing
- Add voice over if needed
