Why Ohio State Lima???

Ohio State Lima has a great deal to offer its students. Lower tuition rates and the opportunity to live at home make a college degree more affordable. Work-study positions and on-campus jobs offer the opportunity to earn while you learn. Small class sizes ensure more personal attention by instructors and help students in the transition from hometown high schools to an internationally recognized land-grant institution.

All of the regular faculty hold doctoral or terminal degrees from major universities. They are members of their academic departments on the Columbus campus and are subject to the same rigorous standards of academic excellence required of all Ohio State professors.

Students have access to books and articles from libraries throughout The Ohio State University system as well as from other university and college libraries in Ohio through a network called OhioLINK.

Ohio State Lima offers career planning to help students find out more about their interests and the world of work. Information on resume writing, interviewing skills, and internships are all available through Career Services.

A variety of student organizations exist on campus, including the Buckeye Agricultural Society. Professional staff host a group that addresses careers associated with the natural environment. They hold regular meetings with speakers from various industries and take field trips to enrich their academic experiences.

The Lima Campus sponsors both intercollegiate and intramural sports programs. Volleyball, basketball, golf, baseball, and softball are among the organized offerings. A weight room and open gymnasium are also available.
