This course is designed to acquaint students with some of the many and varied career opportunities available to them through a major in "ag." Guest speakers representing various careers and/or employers will be an integral part of the curriculum.

Introduction to environmental science, the ecological foundation of environmental systems, and the ecological impacts of environmental degradation by humans.

Required for any of the BS in Natural Resources Majors.

Ag Ed 790 C Science in the Real World C G 3 C Educators, K-6

Instructors: Chuck Miller & Will Waidelich, PhD

This workshop focuses on practical scientific applications to situations in the real world. Emphasis includes the development of scientific experiments and activities that can be implemented into the elementary classroom. The basis for application centers around agricultural, environmental, and consumer education topics.

Elementary Educators, K-6 One-week workshop, late June.

Hands-on, field trip, applications for classroom activities.

Plant Bio/HCS 300 C General Plant Biology C U 5

Plant structure and function; growth and development; diversity, reproduction, and evolution of lower and flowering plants; people, the biosphere, and plant diversity.
