Before being accepted into the Family Financial Services program, students must complete 15 credit hours of course work, make a satisfactory grade in ECON 200 and STAT 133, 135, 145 or AG ECON 205, have a 2.00 cumulative point-hour ratio, and make a B- or better in FM RES M 260.


Most students concentrate on University Required courses during their first two years, focusing on degree specific courses during their junior and senior years. University required courses include Foundation Courses:

The College of Education and Human Ecology requires FM RES M 300 and FM RES M 595 for graduation.

Additionally, students take supporting courses from a number of different choices. Supporting courses also define a student's area in of specialization in either Personal Finance, Banking, Insurance, or Real Estate.
