You are a transfer student if you have attended any other college or university after graduating from high school or earning your GED. For admissions purposes, you are still considered freshmen even if you have post-secondary credit earned while in high school.

The Academy Program is the post-secondary program at The Ohio State University. This program is designed to allow high-achieving high school students to challenge themselves and earn Ohio State credit while they are still in high school.

For admission to the Academy Program on the Lima Campus, we encourage students with at least a 24 on the ACT AND who are in the top 15% of their high school class to apply. This criterion varies slightly than what you see as the requirements for the Columbus campus.

There are four Master Degree programs offered at The Ohio State University at Lima. Each one of the programs has its own application and admissions process. Please contact the program coordinator for your specific program for information.

Master of Education
This program is for students who do not already have their teaching certificate.

Master of Arts in Education
This program is for students who already have their teaching certificate, but want to or need to get their graduate degree.

Master of Arts in Workforce Development and Adult Education
This program seeks to prepare advanced practitioners to design and implement education, training, organization and career development, and performance improvement programs for a number of professional settings, including career and technical schools, educational institutions, business and industry, and community and governmental agencies.

Master of Social Work
This program provides the opportunity to enroll in The Ohio State University's nationally recognized and fully accredited MSW program with the convenience of being close to home.

The Ohio State University at Lima shares its campus with James A. Rhodes State College, a technical college with more than 3000 students enrolled each year. As a result, Ohio State has developed the following agreements to benefit the students of the campus:

Concurrent Enrollment
This program allows students who are enrolled in Rhodes classes pursuing a technical degree with Rhodes to take some Ohio State coursework at the Rhodes State price. This not only allows students on the campus to complete their degrees at Rhodes locally, but it is also a great preparation for university-level coursework if you are preparing to transfer and earn a bachelor's degree. If you would like to participate in this program, contact your Rhodes State advisor.

Steps to participate in Concurrent Enrollment:

Meet with your Rhodes advisor
Complete admissions paperwork at Ohio State Lima
File a consortium agreement with Rhodes Financial Aid if you plan to use Financial Aid

NOTE: It is the students' responsibility to pay the Ohio State tuition. Funds are not transferred from one institution to another.

RN to BSN
The RN program at Rhodes articulates perfectly with a Bachelor's of Nursing Completion Program offered at Ohio State.

Dental Hygiene Bachelor Completion Program
The Dental Hyigene program at Rhodes articulates perfectly with a Dental Hygiene Bachelor Completion Program offered at Ohio State.
