Community Connection Database
Developed collaboratively by The Ohio State
Universitys Service Learning Initiative, Project Community and P-12 Project,
The Community Connections main goal is to assist with the recruitment,
training, placement, and support of students as volunteers in the local
neighborhood communities.

FOCUS
is a web-based, personalized career and education planning system. Use FOCUS
to create plans so you can self-manage your career, be proactive, control your
destiny, and take advantage of new career opportunities. You can benefit by
using FOCUS whether you are a student, a college alumnus, or an employee
seeking career change.
FOCUS guides you through a process enabling you
to:
- Assess your present career status and your planning
needs
- Assess your work related interests, values, skills,
leisure time activities, and personality type
- Discover and explore occupations and education
programs that are compatible with your personal attributes, lifestyle and
needs
- Map out your career and educational goals, action
plans and personal development needs
- Search for jobs, graduate schools, training programs,
scholarships, financial aid, and internships
You will need to have a User Name and Password
to use Focus. You may get these from

- job search strategy development
- cover letter and resume writing information and individual
consultation
- interviewing skills (including mock interviews [by appointment])
- registration with student's College Career Services/Placement office
(this process will include having resume posted on that office's web site for viewing by

at the Civic Center in Downtown Lima
free --business dress, bring plenty of resumes. Visit

attending.
