
Ambroza came to the Barons after spending 2 years as an assistant at his Alma Mater, Central Michigan University from 2005 to 2007. Ambroza also served as the Recruiting Coordinator/Assistant Coach at Loyola University of New Orleans for the 2004/05 season. During his summers, Ambroza has amassed additional coaching experience serving as an assistant coach for the Lima Locos, a member of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League for two summers as well as heading a Connie Mack team based in Mt. Pleasant, MI called the Central Michigan Stars whom reached the U.S. semifinals during his second season at the helm.
Ambroza split his college years between Ohio Northern University, where he lettered his freshman and sophomore years, and with Central Michigan University where he was a member of the 1999 Chippewas. Ambroza ended his collegiate career serving as a player/coach of the CMU Club Baseball program, which made it to the Inaugural National Club Baseball Association World Series in Syracuse, NY, where they fell in their semifinal matchup with the Baseball Club from the University of Texas.
Ambroza is from Rushmore, OH, and is a graduate of Columbus Grove High School. Ambroza also is a graduate of Central Michigan University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Studies. Coach Ambroza likes to stay active in his community as he is currently a member of the Lima Breakfast Optimists. He is currently working towards a Master’s Degree from Ohio State while residing in Pandora, OH with his wife Sara.
