Barons Men's Basketball
Men's Basketball at Ohio State Lima offers students a chance to compete with other college students. The Barons compete against the other colleges in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference as well as many NCAA Division II and NAIA Division I schools. O.R.C.C. basketball consists of 10 teams. There is a regular season champion as well as a state tournament held at the end of the year. The Barons play a 30 game schedule. Part of this schedule includes leaving the state for two invitational tournaments. Tryouts for the basketball team are typically the second week of October and the first game is usually around the first week in November. We follow the rules set forth by the NCAA.

Head Coach
Nick Pittman is the newly appointed Men’s Basketball coach for the Barons. Nick comes to Ohio State Lima after seven years experience coaching basketball, baseball, and soccer at multiple grade levels at Miller City High School. Some of Coach Pittman’s career highlights include being named the 2008 Putnam County League’s Girls Soccer Coach of the Year and the 2010 Z Sports Live Girls Soccer Coach of the Year. Over his four-year tenure as the Miller City varsity girl’s soccer coach, his record is 36-14-12. Nick was a member of the 1999 Barons Men’s Baseball team.
