Itís About Discovery helps students connect with science as a career
The Ohio State University at Lima will bring 100 high school students from Van Wert to campus for a college experience and science day from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Fri., Oct. 8, 2010, as part of a National Science Foundation grant. Itís About Discovery Day is designed to excite students about the sciences and help them pursue careers in the sciences.
Ohio State faculty members from different science disciplines will offer workshops to introduce students to the fields. College Access will present a workshop on the tools to get into college. The students are in grades 9-12.

Itís About Discovery Day is offered as part of the NSF grant ďItís About DiscoveryĒ administered by Dr. Dean Cristol, Associate Professor of Education, and Brittany Collier-Gibson, Education Outreach.
