Ohio State Lima names Rudd Scholars
Six future Buckeyes receive full and half-tuition scholarships
Six soon-to-be Buckeyes received a full- or half-tuition scholarship at a dinner and ceremony Wed., April 13, 2011, on the Ohio State Lima Campus. The awards to incoming freshman were made possible by a generous gift by Arthur and Marian Rudd.
This year’s full-tuition scholarship winners include: Mohammad Khan, Elida High School; Nathaniel Sackinger, Elida High School; and Spencer Williams, Upper Scioto High School. Half-tuition scholarships were awarded to: Trevor Crites, Spencerville High School; April Freed, Cory-Rawson High School; and Lauryn Schlinglof, Kenton High School.
The Arthur and Marian Rudd Scholarship Fund provides three full and three half tuition scholarships each year to students for whom such an award will make a significant financial difference. The scholarships are renewable for four years. At current tuition levels, the full scholarship will be worth about $6,100 per year and $24,400 over the life of the scholarship. The incoming class for Autumn 2011 is the seventh group to be eligible for the awards.
