Media Alert: Ohio State Lima Advocates to convene
The Ohio State University at Lima Advocates group will convene at 11:30 a.m., Fri., Oct. 7, 2011, in Reed Hall 160. The program topic is the first-year engineering program, which is coming to Ohio State Lima beginning Autumn 2012.
The field of engineering continues to expand and bringing the first-year engineering course sequence to Lima is one shift that Ohio State is making to meet the growing demand for courses. Ohio State’s engineering program is a top-ranked program, making this addition a benefit to both students and the Lima community. Advocates will hear from Dr. Tony Shoup, program specialist in physics, who has been instrumental in the development of Ohio State Lima’s first-year engineering program in Lima.
The Ohio State Lima Advocates group was formed by the Board of Trustees to engage past members and gain their insights and perspective on how Ohio State Lima can better serve its students and community. Members can also be past members of the Citizens’ Advisory Council that preceded the Board of Trustees and selected community leaders.
