Ohio State Lima hosts Take Back the Night
The Office of Institutional Diversity at Ohio State Lima hosts Take Back the Night from 6-8 p.m., Thur., Oct. 25, 2012. The event, which brings awareness to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking on college campuses, begins in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts and continues at various locations around campus.
The opening ceremony of Take Back the Night features keynote speaker Charlotte Gooden, a survivor of child sexual abuse. The event proceeds through various stations around campus, each one highlighting an avenue for awareness of violence.
Take Back the Night partners include: Rhodes State College DATE (Diversity Action Training and Experience) Committee, Crossroads Crisis Center, Crime Victim Services, Partnership for Violence Free Families, Men Choosing Non-Violence, Rape Crisis Coalition and the AIDS Resource Center.
