Ohio State Lima faculty and staff showcase personal artwork

The Ohio State University at Lima art department hosts the first-ever Faculty/Staff Art Exhibition from Mon., June 10-Fri., July 26, 2013, in the Farmer Family Gallery in Reed Hall. The gallery is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and closed on Thur., July 4, 2013. The opening reception is from 6-8 p.m., Fri., June 7, 2013.

"Our faculty and staff have interesting lives and pursuits outside of the workplace," said Ed Valentine, professor of art and gallery curator. "We draw, paint, photograph and knit. We make things. We keep our minds and hands active. We are proud of what we do and we want to share it."

The exhibition will feature 45 pieces of artwork from 25 people. The art media types range from watercolor, pastel, graphite, mixed media, oil and acrylic to photography, Photoshop and textile.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
