Ohio State Lima Kidsí College now taking applications for June 17-19 event
Go Green with a variety of fun and motivational activities
The Ohio State University at Limaís Fourth Annual Kids' College day camp will be going green June 17- 19, 2009. This year's theme has a focus on being more eco-friendly. The workshops reflect the theme and offer hands-on activities that will engage children in a positive and educational experience. Kidsí College is designed for campers going into sixth, seventh or eighth grade in Autumn 2009.
Campers will be able to choose from a variety of workshops each day. Each workshop is limited to 20 or fewer campers and will emphasize creativity, investigation and discovery through hands-on activities. Some of the available topics include Eco-Friendly Scrapbooking, Whatís in a Seed, Drawing from Observation, Jingle Writing 101, the Sport of Cheerleading, Going Green in your Diet, Plate Tectonics, and CSI. Registrations are due Monday May 25, 2009. Late registrations may be taken as space allows, but T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for those who register after May 25.† Students who will be sixth, seventh, or eighth graders in Autumn 2009 are eligible for the camp. Online registration is available at Lima.OSU.edu/KidsCollege. The cost for all three days of Kidsí College camp is $60 per camper and includes workshop supplies, morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, tote bag and T-shirt. The camp has slots for 120 participants and it will fill up fast. Register soon so that you are able to select your activities.
