PALS events are free and open to the public. For information, call the Box Office at (419) 995-8382. Friday, April 26, 2002, noon-1 p.m., Reed Hall 160 New York Cabaret Unlimited is an ensemble of two to four singers, a pianist, and a narrator which presents popular musical revues of George Gershwin (By George!), Irving Berlin (An Evening with Irving), Cole Porter (Cookin' With Cole), Lorenz Hart (You've Gotta Have Hart), and Gilbert & Sullivan (An Evening With Gilbert & Sullivan). With narrations describing aspects of the personal lives of these composers, each critically acclaimed show highlights their contributions to the Broadway stage and to Hollywood films. The ensemble performs memorable tunes that span the generations providing an entertaining, exciting, and informative evening. Monday, May 13, 2002, noon-1 p.m., Reed Hall Auditorium Mad River Theater Works presents “The Legend of Casey Jones” The Mad River Theater Works is a rural professional repertory theater company based in West Liberty, Ohio with roots deep in the flat farm country of the Midwest. They create plays that combine music and drama to tell stories about the history and culture of rural America and perform those plays primarily for audiences from small towns and out of the way places. Tuesday, May 14, 2002, 12:30-1:30 p.m., Science 100 Jim Bowsher of Wapakoneta presents “Between a Rock and a Wet Place,” a multicultural presentation on archaeological finds, including a large collection of prehistoric artifacts. Monday, May 20, 2002, noon-1 p.m., Reed Hall 160 Jim McCutcheon is a multifaceted guitarist and vocalist who will make a presentation in a variety of styles. ### |
