Representative Core to visit Ohio State Lima’s Bellefontaine Center

Anthony E. Core, R of Rushsylvania, will tour the Ohio State Lima Bellefontaine Center at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center at 11 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2003. Rep. Core will meet with Ohio State Lima’s new dean and director, John R. Snyder, and receive an update on Ohio State’s activities in Logan and surrounding counties.

The Bellefontaine Center offers the courses necessary to complete the first two years of most Ohio State degrees. Since the center opened in 2000, more than 700 students have completed coursework in a variety of classes from astronomy to anthropology. The classes are taught by Ohio State faculty members from Lima and Columbus. Students who successfully begin at the Bellefontaine Center are able to finish their degree work at any of the other Ohio State sites, including the campuses at Lima, Columbus, Marion, Mansfield and Newark.

The Ohio State bungalow is located immediately to the right off state Route 540 in the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center complex. The Ohio State Lima Bellefontaine Center can be reached at (937) 599-4114 or on the web from the Ohio State Lima home page lima.osu.edu.
