FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 8, 2003 Contact: Pam Joseph at (419) 995-8284 Event Under the Tent welcomes new students to Ohio State Lima The Ohio State University at Lima will host its annual welcome for new incoming students from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, on campus. The Event Under the Tent will include a welcome from Ohio State Lima’s new dean and director, Dr. John Snyder, and entertainment by Travelin’ Max in the quad. Parents will get their own Buckeye Basics course in the Life and Physical Sciences Building while the students have a chance to get acquainted with other members of their class in the quad. An ice cream social from 3-5 p.m. in the Public Services Building will give students and parents a chance to browse the student activities fair, pay tuition at the Business Office, visit the bookstore, and find class locations. Faculty, staff and current students will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions, give tours and, in general, make the transition to University student as easy as possible.
