Education student group plans book sale for K-8

All new books offered at 50 percent discount

The Ohio State University at Lima chapter of the Association for Childhood Education International, a non-profit group for educators, will hold a Book Fair from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., May 4-5, and from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2006, in the Galvin Basement Gameroom, Room 015.

The sale features new books appropriate for children ages kindergarten through young adult and will be the only community book sale open to the public in this area this year. Parents, educators and students are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity. All books will be 50 percent off regular retail price. Other merchandise will also be available. Cash, checks, credit cards and school purchase orders will be accepted.

Proceeds from the sale will allow the ACEI club to put books in the hands of needy children and pursue other charitable ventures. The goal of ACEI is to promote and support the education and development of children from birth through early adolescence, and to influence the professional growth of educators.

ACEI will donate its merchandise credit for hosting the event to the following organizations, which will be able to purchase a variety of merchandise at the sale: ARC of Allen County, Grampy’s House and Crossroads Crisis Center.
