Media Alert: Celebrate Black History Month with the Performing Arts and Lecture Series

       The Performing Arts and Lecture series on the shared campus of The Ohio State University at Lima and the James A. Rhodes State College will welcome Maxine Maxwell to Lima at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts.

          The performance is free and open to the public.

This one-woman show demonstrates the obstacles of being black and female over the past 150 years. Maxwell explores the turning points in the lives of five African women who exhibit remarkable strength and courage. More information is available at www.wolfmanproductions.com.
