Ohio State Lima hosts Star Party for community New observatory makes public debut
The Ohio State University at Lima invites the community to “Come Meet the Stars!” from 7-9 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 1, 2007, at its new observatory facility, which includes a 16” Meade LX-200 GPS telescope in a 15-foot fiberglass dome. Visitors will have the chance to observe constellations, planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies.
Dr. Tony Shoup, program specialist for the Ohio State Lima Physics Department, will guide visitors through the event. Local astronomers will be available to answer questions.
