For Immediate Release February 1, 2007 Contact: Pam Joseph (419) 995-8284 or Lesley King (419) 995-8671 Ohio State Lima Star Party cancelled due to cloud cover New observatory public debut delayed The Ohio State University at Lima “Come Meet the Stars!” event scheduled for 7-9 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 1, 2007, at its new observatory facility, has been cancelled due to weather. The makeup day of Feb. 2 has also been cancelled based on the weather forecast. The star party will be rescheduled at a later date. The Ohio State Lima observatory facility includes a 16” Meade LX-200 GPS telescope in a 15-foot fiberglass dome. When the weather cooperates, visitors will have the chance to observe constellations, planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. ###
