Diane comes to Ohio State Lima after 36 years in the public schools, where she taught every grade except second and third at one time or another, but spent most of her time teaching gifted middle school children. Her educational specialties include teaching gifted children (especially LD gifted), the use of technology in the classroom, and urban education. Beginning this fall she will oversee the Freshman Experience for our Education majors and serve as Coordinator of Placements.
Samantha Haudenschield, Lecturer in Psychology
Samantha completed her undergraduate degree in psychology here at Ohio State Lima. She then went on to study at the University of Indianapolis, where she earned her Masters and Doctor of Psychology degrees, with specializations in adult development, health psychology, and behavioral medicine.

She has a wide range of clinical interests and has experience providing therapy services for a broad spectrum of psychological, emotional, and personal difficulties. Her research interests have focused on the varied topics of college student wellness and subclinical delusional ideation. Here at Ohio State Lima she will be teaching in our Psychology department, as well as providing counseling services for our students.
Melanie House, Lecturer, Theatre
Melanie has earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in performance from the University of Kentucky, an MFA in performance from the University of Louisville, and an MA in Pan African Studies from the University of Louisville. A native of the Cleveland area, Barb’s undergraduate degree is from Miami University and she has earned a Master’s degree and a Gifted Specialist certification from Bowling Green State University.

Bradley Olson, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art
Bradley was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and returns there each summer to photograph the small-scale commercial “strip” buildings found throughout this and other prairie cities. These often-recycled utilitarian structures continue to be his primary subject matter when photographing in Canada, and are a direct influence on the subject matter he chooses to photograph in the Midwestern United States.

Bradley holds a BFA in Ceramics from the University of Regina, a BFA in Photography from NSCAD University, and a MFA in Photography from The Ohio State University.
Gregory Owen, Assistant Professor of Theatre
Greg holds a BFA from Otterbein College and an MFA from The Ohio State University. After spending a majority of the 90s working his craft in different parts of the country, Greg returned to the Columbus area where he has been a local IATSE stagehand since 1998. His work includes theatre, film and television around the U.S. with particular favorites in the Santa Fe Opera and the Spoleto USA festival, countless stadium rock and roll and plenty of Broadway tours. He's done everything from Celine Dion to Springsteen and from "Phantom of the Opera" to "The Lion King". With plenty of time in corporate theatre and trade shows under his belt Greg has seen much of this country and as well had opportunity to do museum lighting at the Kunming Zoological museum in Kunming, China.
Dawn Starr, Assistant Professor, Philosophy
Dawn earned her BA from Kenyon College here in Ohio, and then earned her MA in Philosophy from Tufts University.

She has spent the past few years at the University of California, Los Angeles working on her PhD degree, and she is in the last stages of completing her dissertation, which is entitled, “Essays on the Boundary Between Semantics and Pragmatics.” Her main area of research is the philosophy of language, with her current work focusing on topics related to the semantics of English (the formal aspects of how meaning attaches to expression), and the pragmatics of English (the study of what speaker actually do with language).
