The Pin number will allow you to sign your on-line FAFSA electronically.
For a dependent student both the student and one parent will need a PIN.
Step Two: File FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov

Within two to four weeks of submitting your FAFSA to the federal processor, the U.S. Department of Education will send you an electronic or paper Student Aid Report (SAR). The SAR contains important information for you to review. Read it carefully and follow-up on any missing or conflicting information.
When we receive your FAFSA record from the federal processor, we will send you an award letter (incoming freshmen) or an email award letter (current students).
Step Three: View Financial Aid Package from Ohio State on-line at sfa.osu.edu/status
- Enter username & password
- Select academic year.
