The purpose of a student organization is to add to the college experience. Involvement in organized student groups encourages the development of interpersonal skills, expansion of knowledge, as well as having fun!
The Ohio State University at Lima students are offered opportunities for social, recreational, cultural, and educational growth. It is up to you whether or not to become involved.

I'd like to become involved, but I'm a full-time student and I work full-time. How will I find the time?
Many students have hectic schedules similar to yours. Most clubs will try to schedule meeting times that are convenient for its members and only require a few hours commitment each week.
I live over twenty miles from campus. Are all of the events in the evenings?
Events are held during the day and in the evening to accommodate students who attend both day and night classes.
How open in Student Activities to ideas for new clubs and special interest groups? Would we need to register?
Student Activities welcomes ideas for new opportunities that would be of interest to students. All campus groups must register with the Student Activities Office. There is a standard registration form to fill out and a faculty/staff member of OSU must be designated as group advisor. Stop by the Student Activities Office in Galvin 066 and speak to the Student Activities Director for more information on forming a new club.

OSU Student Trustee
Serves as the student representative to The Ohio State University at Lima Board of Trustees.
Student Senate
The purpose of this club is to represent the student voice on campus.
Social and Leisure Opportunities
Spring Festival
All students are encouraged to join in the planning of an on-campus spring festival to be held each May. New ideas are welcomed as themes and events vary from year to year.
Campus Activities Board
Schedules a variety of social events for the campus including films, social hours, and annual events. All activities are planned and carried out by the students and are available at little or no cost.
Game Room Tournaments
A schedule of billiards, foosball, euchre, and card games is offered in the Student Lounge.
Creative Expression Cultural Programs
A variety of cultural experiences are offered, including musical presentations, dance performances, guest lecturers, and gallery talks by exhibiting artists.
Campus Chorus
The Lima Campus Chorus is a large choral ensemble which performs a wide range of choral repertoire from traditional historical musical periods through popular and Broadway choral works.
Lima Campus Music Club
The Lima Campus Music Club aims to provide the Lima Campus with a music oriented club that promotes diversity and stresses the importance of community.
The United Students for The Visual and Performing Arts
The USVPA focuses on the support of students and their visual and performing arts interests with a focus on personal artistic interest. The club provides several opportunities a year for students to get involved and showcase their artistic abilities.
Special Interest
The Challengers
Focuses on providing support activities for students with (or without) physical or learning disabilities. Major activities include Disability Awareness Week (October), membership drives, fundraisers, and ADA awareness.
Campus Crusade for Christ
Provides weekly Bible studies, Christian fellowship and support, and outreach for the campus popluation.
College Democrats
The purpose of this club is to promote the ideals of the Democratic Party and to provide students with opportunities to be involved in the political process.
College Republicans
The purpose of this club is to make known and promote the principles of the Republican Party among the members of the College Republicans, as well as The Ohio State University at Lima & Rhodes State College campus and the surrounding community.
M.A.R.S. (RPGaming Club)
Multiple Alternate Realities Society group is a collection of people who enjoy role-playing in alternate universes. Gamers meet Fridays, rooms and times TBA. Check with the Student Activities Office for information.
Multicultural Club
The Multicultural club aims to promote multicultural understanding and friendship amongst students, faculty and staff.
Newman Catholic Association
The Newman Catholic Association is a Catholic student Organization on campus. The focus of the Newman Catholic Association is to provide spiritual growth and social growth opportunities as well as support for not only Catholic students and non-Catholic students, but also for faculty and staff members. Some of the activities for this group are bi-monthly faith sharing lunches, service projects, yearly retreat, mission trips and much more. Sports and Fitness
Club Sports
The Baron's Athletic Department consists of volleyball (fall quarter), men's and women's basketball (fall and winter quarters), baseball, and golf (spring quarter). Teams play a very competitive schedule against teams in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference, plus area Junior and Community Colleges.
Intramurals
A variety of informal sports are offered every quarter. Some include: 5 on 5 and 3 on 3 basketball, volleyball, whiffleball, softball, flag football, plus many more.
Fans
Admissions to all Club Sport events is free to all OSU students, faculty, staff and the general public.
Academic Clubs
ACEI
The mission of ACEI is to promote and support in the global community the optimal education and development of children, from infancy through early adolescence, and to influence the professional growth of educators and the efforts of others who are committed to the needs of children in a changing society.
Buckeye Scholars
The purpose of Buckeye Scholars is to encourage the pursuit of a high quality, rigorous academic program providing students the opportunity to enrich their academic area of interest. Buckeye Scholars is a club and is not considered an honors society.
Business Club
The purpose of the Business Club is to establish communications and interactions between local business and OSU Lima students as well as organize a variety of activities to enhance academic learning and help business students in career planning.
History Club
The purpose of the History Club is to promote historical insight, to develop relationships among peers, and to have fun! The club meets these goals through Brown Bag Lunch Series, inter-club competitions, dinners, fundraisers, and field trips.
Math Club
The Math Club meets throughout the quarter to discuss math topics.
Psychology Club
Provides students with an awareness of the psychological field while also offering students a wide variety of information concerning psych courses available on campus, graduate programs in psychology, and psych-related careers. Most importantly, the club gives students the opportunity to interact with the Psychology faculty and introduces students to Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
